The end of an era

The Space Shuttle program has come to an end.  NASA decided where to “store” each of the four shuttles – luckily for me one of them is going to Udvar-Havy.  Watch the 14 minute video on the space shuttle, narrated by William Shatner.

Cracking the lottery code

Wired had a great article about a Canadian geological statistician who was able to crack the code on lottery scratch-off tickets.  After his analysis, he could get the winning tickets right 90% of the time.  Pretty amazing.

Last Shuttle night lift off

The shuttle Endeavour lifted off this morning — it was the last night shuttle launch and there are only four missions left total. The imagery never ceases to amaze me.

See the Universe

Do you use Google Maps?  How about Google Earth?  It’s fun and interesting to see landmarks around the globe from space.  But now you can take an astronomical view, looking into space – see stars, galaxies and more as Google has released Google Sky.
