Another cool product from Google – “Gears”
Now you will be able to access your RSS feeds (and their content) while offline using Google Gears. Lifehacker posted a synopsis of the new capability from Google: “an application that lets web sites store their data on your local computer using only your web browser. Google Reader is already supported – read your feeds on the plane! – and word on the street is that Gmail and Google Docs is to come.”

Copy DVDs to your portable media player
Good post at Lifehacker (again) under Alpha Geek on how to back up DVDs to your iPod, Zune, or other portable media player. Good instructions, descriptions and links that will get you going. What you need to 1) extract the information from the dvd, and convert those files to the format you need. It’s not as simple as DVDShrink, but it’s not that bad.

Backup your iTunes Library
If you have a lot of music on your hard drive, it’s probably a good idea to back it up. If you already use iTunes, as good idea might be to back it up as it is stored there, including playlists, album art and other settings. Lifehacker had a good post on doing just that.

How to sit at your computer
I saw this posted at Lifehacker and found it to be enlightening – especially since I spend the vast majority of every work day at my computer.
